Course Overview

This Intermediate course focuses on deepening your understanding of Parāśarī Jyotiṣa, as laid out in the Bṛhat Parāśara Horā Śāstra. Through structured weekly modules, you will master advanced chart interpretation using yogas, divisional charts, dasha systems, and predictive methods rooted in dharma, karma, and mokṣa.

Pre-requisite: Completion of Basic Vedic Astrology or equivalent knowledge

Weekly Breakdown

Week 1: Foundations of Parāśarī Astrology

Recap of Rāśi, Bhāvas, Grahas
Trikona (1,5,9) & Kendra (1,4,7,10)
Graha Bāla (Strengths overview)
Functional vs Natural Benefics/Malefics
Concept of Karma, Dharma, Artha, Kāma, Mokṣa houses

Goal:
Refresh key concepts with a Parāśarī lens
Understand chart structure in terms of karma unfolding


Week 2: Bhāva Analysis Techniques

Topics:
Bhāva Lagna and Bhāva Chakra
Bhāva Lords: placement, strength, exchange (Parivartana Yoga)
Argala (planetary intervention)
Bhāva Karaka vs Bhāva Lord

Goal:
Accurately assess each house using multiple layers
Use Argala and Bhāva Lord logic in chart synthesis


Week 3: Graha Bāla and Shadbala (Sixfold Strength)

Shadbala:

Dig Bala
Kāla Bala
Chesta Bala
Naisargika Bala
